When will those of us with the older style, pre "05", end up in the vintage forum?

Hey Del, not too much longer I'd guess.
I think I'm retro grading anyway. My riding partner gave me his old 250 popcorn popper ring-a-dingdingding. Yammer something or other. Straightened the forks from when he bent them hitting a boulder. Went to a wreaker and got a wheel and a hand full of spokes. flushed everything, put it back together and am having a ball scaring deer and racoons on my property. Gotta think about brakes though, almost went over the hill.
Getting too old for this S**T anyway.

I went to VIR for a couple of track days last week with a friend that's 65 years old. He held his own on his 996 Ducati, and he has a 999R in the garage too. Hope I last till I'm 65.

dolson, just viewed you photo album and was wondering if that's a King Air you were cruising in and if the war birds are your aircraft? Nice aircraft, love the P-47!

We have a Cessna Conquest II. It has about the same performance as a KingAir 300. 300kts true at 35000'. But weights about 4000 lbs less and burns about 400 lbs per hour vs. 1.5 lbs. per minute.
That trip in the pics, we had some foreign customers up and took them for a little sight seeing jaunt around the state ending up at a dinner at a ski/golf resort.
The warbirds, I wish. I'm trying to talk the boss into selling off a few of his Corvettes and getting a P-51. The '51 in the pic is owned by a customer that has been in racing since about day 1. It's actually a TF-51. I've been in it several times.
I just got a new camera and will get some shots the next.

Hey Donski,
my riding mate Fred is about 63 I think, ex racer and all that. Still a very fast man on his '04 600 Yammie Fazer.
I do my best to make him work hard, (like this morning hahaha). He is very quick and just about lives on his motorcycle. he doesn't have a car.
Ya still got miles in ya yet mate!
By the way I love warbirds too. So does flatspins, but with a handle like that it's not surprising is it!

dolson, Conquest, ok. I have worked on Cessna Conquests in years past but could not identify the aircraft by the nacelle. Do you pilot the aircraft or work on them? I have worked on aircraft for over 30 years now. King Air 90, 200, Cessna 421, CIII, CVII, CX, Saab 2000, GII, GIII, G350 and GV's to name a few, do Saber Liners count? Anyway, always good to chat with another in aviation and thanks for the pics!

Deller, from those you mentioned Sabreliner 65's are the best of the lot.
We are at a point with the 441 where we have to sink several truckloads of money into it. Trouble is we would only realize about 1/2 a truckload return in value.
Jan. I was running the numbers and the 65 was the top of my "A" list. Nothing else made any sense. Stage lengths, purchase price, maintainability and DOC's and I thought I had the boss talked into it, we even went to the factory. But I think he and the other owner were beyond their comfort zone.
So, I'm supposed to be the Chief Pilot and I have a Co-Captain who handles the maintenance end of it for me.
Sorry for off topic.
