Hi,
I have a 05 sprint that I just got back from the dealer it had all the recalls done plus the new bags, Now I have the bike back I have some problems that I did not have before. When I turn the key off the starter keeps running and if I turn the key back on the bike starts right back up so the only way to shut it off was to disconnect the battery. And now if I hook the battery back up without the key the starter just cranks away. Hear are the things that I have noticed the turn signals don't work now and the starter cylanoid is melted this is the box that sits right next to the battery. So I will keep you guys posted
Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear things are messed up on your bike. Sounds like some wiring got seriously fubared. From your description it sounds like the dealer owes you a fix, an appology, and a loaner while they get it sorted out.
yeah if I remember rightly the recall was something about a bolt next to the wiring harness and an oil light switch, so they may have messed with the wiring whilst doing those bits..
tkae it back and get it sorted.. if no luck I agree with windblown.. get an exorcist.
Hope they can sort it for ya
cheers
Jen

Well I spent the day at the dealer and we found that the rubber holders that hold the relays in place on the right side of the bike was broke and the relays wear hanging by the wires up side down, So the relay wear full of water. It seems that Triumph rubber is junk, I would pull your right side panel and check your and put some zip ties on then to keep them wear they belong.
I noticed this a couple of weeks ago when I had my 6000 mile service. I was in the shop...mechanic was about to put right side fairing back on...saw deteriorated rubber holding the bank of relays. He had not seen them. I forgot about it until just now. Guess what I'm gonna do in about an hour! Also... same deterioration on big rubber band holding the battery...under the seat!

Yeah, same thing with the rubber on my 05 Tiger. Battery strap and relay bands. My guess is that the cosmolene they spray the bike with for overseas shipping dissolves the rubber.
