I got a blue 2006 Sprint ST on order but the sales babe gave me a manual to look over while waiting. What the ____ is a passing button? And where is the hazzard button?

The passing button is a headlamp flasher, no hazards on the European version although the Datatool Alarm does have that function if required

it's a european thing. The aprillias have them too. It's like a little trigger on your left switch houseing. instead of having to flick the hi beam on and off when you want to flash someone you just pull the trigger and it turns your high beam on as long as you hold the trigger.

i have hazards on my 01, but not sure where they would be on the 05

It's on my '02.

Think of it like Turbo-Boost on the old computers :-D

Down here and in NZ,
the flashing button is mostly used to warn other motorists or motorcyclists of the presence of the LAW, spefically radars and speed cameras or even plain cop cars.

Davem
On other occasions the FLASH button can be used when streaking in front of a crowd at a big Rugby league or Cricket match! :-D :-D
I jest of course

I find the passing button to be real handy when I think someone is going to pull out in front of me (it's saved my butt a few times).

My '99 ST has a hazards button as well.

Here in Florida I like to call it the "move out of the left lane and out of my way, you pokey, stupid traffic causing motherf%^&*$!!" button. :-D
