02 st engine warning light on

Ok yesterday I had a flat battery and the alarm kept going off, so I stripped down the bike looking for the "inline fuse", after removing the rear/side fairing and the tank I eventually get through to the dealer (3 hours after wanting to go for a ride) to find it is in the fuse box !IUH*((Y()*&YUOIH(*

So refit everything and charge the battery for past 24 hours or so. Fire it up and the engine warning light is on, I vaguely remember something about this being a problem on 02-04 bikes ?? Anybody know the cure or is it back to the dealer? (40 miles away)

Mine did that when the battery died on me. I just rode it for a couple hours and it cleared itself out on it's own. I believe the power had to be cycled on it a few times as well. But it'll clear itself on it's own.

Cheers will try a couple of power cycles and a ride when I am off again on Thursday
