Tip: You can get just the bar adapters for the triple clamp from Heli & then get some Renthals or whatever. The bars are the best thing I've done to my bike, however, once you set them the way you like, all the adjustments are kind moot.

Thanks for the tip. I looked at LSL bars too, and like the bar setup.

And the adapter is the plate and risers that bolt to the top of the triple tree?? Then what? Buy your own superbike bars?

right, the adapters are clamps that bolt in place, you supply your own bar.

the advantage being that bars are cheap and numerous and come in a million flavors and colors, pick th ebend you like and rotate it accordingly, as long as you don't wack the tank or fairing and your cables reach you are good.

Regulator:
Which bars did you get? I'm thinking about going that route myself if I can get close to the setting on the Heli's.

Katrider:
One thing to keep in mind: the Heli-bars have more adlustment than you can use. I couldn't get as much rise as I'd like because of interfrence with the fairing. The tank also comes into play on the other end of the arc.

All said, they're a great improvement over stock or risers for comfort. They do change the steering geometry a little as far as aggresive riding is concerned, but if you're going to take any long trips they're great.

I'm still in the research stage, don't want to rush in to anything.

I want bars that I can still use my bar ends, which also is my cruise control and helmet lock ( nice features)

Plus I want width as well as some additional height and pull back. SO what I need is to be able to have a handfull of bars to keep test fitting and decide.

Might wait until I return to GA so I can experiment more easily.

Unless someone knows of some good bars to try?
