The OEM clutch lever on my 2000 Sprint RS is leaving my finger feeling like those of a 70 year old man. I have found a location in the UK that sell a dog leg clutch lever, but the shipping costs to the US are excesive. Is anyone aware of a US location for a dog leg clutch lever. Also, how often does the clutch need replacing? What is the cost for do it yourself vs dealer repair?
Thanks!

Here is some photos from a site. Might help you out with the clutch arms mods.

The clutch lever from the Speedmaster looked like it fit right up. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on the list. The dealer said it cost about $25 so talk to them and see if that works. There was an ST on their floor with a dog leg lever, but they couldn't recall how it got on there or what bike it came off of, but we looked at the Speedmaster lever and it looked like a good match.

Hi,

My '04 RS came with the dog leg lever as standard, so your local dealer should be able to order the part in for you. Can't see any reason it wouldn't retro fit to a 2000.

I looked at the clutch lever on the new Bonneville Thruxton. I lookes like it is the same lever as the RS/ST but four way adjustable.
I will try if it's not to expensive.

Folks,

Just received the dog leg clutch lever from Jack Lilley in the UK. The exchange rate and shipping only cost me $31.25. It fit great and what a difference shifting. It is only about a 1/2" closer but it moves the lever from my finger tips to the first joint and feels more comfortable.
