Any Sprinters in AZ? I'm out here in AZ for another month and so far have only seen 2 other Triumphs ( 1x Rocket and 1x Bonnie)

just curious if anybody rides within a couple hundred miles radius of Sierra vista, shoot Tombstone is about 20 miles away.

just thought I'd make the most of my trip and try to meet up with some folks before I head back to Georgia.

I hear tell Arizona has a bike week in APril, just never been to any of those crazy harley rally type events

My longtime friend and compadre has a place in Casa Grande. He is out there several times a yr. Sometime I plan to to return with him and bikes in tow to do some riding. Any good road info would be appreciated.

Had my one and only crash on this road about 12 years ago. Great road though. Used to be highway 666 but someone got it changed. When you ride it, watch out for the uphill hairpins. Some of them are not signposted and they are really slow 1st gear turns. They look just like the series of turns before them that you took at 40-50 and you can be fooled on the approach and find yourself in too fast. Also be careful if it is raining. A lot of dirt and debris washes down the hillside and onto the road forming little streams. That is what caught me out.

This is based on the last time I rode there 12 years ago. It may have changed.

Lived is southern AZ for years, Tucson, and cut my biker teeth on these roads. The Coronado Trail is an excellent road, so are the roads near it that go through Snowflake and Sholo. However, there were some extensive forest fires in the area so make sure the trees are still there. Also, this is high country and in April you could have a major snow fall in the area. Check out the roads to Jerome, Globe, Oak Creek Canyon, Cotton Wood Canyon, and don;t forget the Mt. Lemon road outside of Tucson, considered by many one of the ten best rides in the US. Again, Mt. Lemon had some extensive fire damage so contact the US Forest Service for the fire damage and weather in the areas you choose. You'll love riding in AZ just watch for sand on the road.

Went through Snow flake and Showlow late Nov. 04. Been through Jerome and Oak Creek Canyon way back in '72. Oak Creek Canyon is magnificent. Am looking forward to the day when the Triumph gets to enjoy these as well.

Yes, we had a rainstorm last Saturday (03/11). Might not seem like a big deal, but it was the first rain in 142 days. We had nearly 1/3 of our total annual rainfall that one day. It means the high country (above 3500- 4000 ft.) has seen snow.

Some mighty fine roads here. I recently went on a day trip up to Prescott from Phoenix "the back way". That means Phx to Wickenburg, then up highway 89 up the hill into Prescott. Had my brother in law with me, and we both had a blast running up the winding mountain road.
