Ok, last week you read about my oopsie with my 05 Sprint. You saw the pic of what is damaged...a little fairing rash near the stator cover hole and the stator cover has been ground down. Everything's in working order, and I really don't feel like buying new parts or getting paint done, so what is left? I have about a 3" diameter ground-down aluminum colored spot on the stator cover and the rest is minimal.

I was thinking a sticker or something, but I'm afraid the stator cover will get too hot.

Maybe I should just write "oops!" on it with a sharpie?

find yourself some cold blueing compound for firearms. should almost match, and is cheap and easy. i believe walmart has it, but shop around at outdoors stores.

you could also use black high temp grill paint. it is flat black though.

I think that's aluminum and cold bluing won't react on it. There are paints for aluminum that come in any finish and most colors.

Sand it paint it and forget it.
