While trying to diagnose and sort through my '02 Sprint ST's poor running, I called the Jax, FL dealer to schedule s dyno run and remap. He said his dyno is broken but he thinks I am suffering a stuck choke. I didn't know the bike had a choke. Does anyone know if it has any kind of enrichener, and if so, where is it and how is this problem remedied.

Thanks,

ElTigre1

The ECU entirely controls the 'enrichener', or choke to those with petcocks :-D I'd be warry of a dealer who doesn't know that about FI Triumphs.

As I said in your other question. These are EFI motors and TOTALLY dependent on the Sagen for it's operation. There is very little you can do other than to change plugs, air filter check and make sure that the proper map is installed.

There is no choke nor accelerator pump or anything else like that. The computer and censors run it all. Including don't ever touch the throttle when starting.

IF you want to tinker, then you'll have to get the TuneBoy/TuneEdit. That will tell you more than the dealer's gameboy and allow you to remap the 'puter.

With this news of your dealer, to be honest, I don't think he has the smarts to lace his shoes without tying them together. I would run away and find another.

Well said.
Don`t let him touch your pride and joy. Who knows what damage he may do when he pulls it apart trying to find the `Stuck Choke.`

i agree, head somewhere else. your dealer has demonstrated not only a lack o knowledge of your bike, but any other fuel injected machine as well. :hammer:
