Hello.
Long story short. I am picking up a 2000 or 2001 sprint rs this weekend from a good friend. He wrecked it last year.

I would like to know if parts off a 2001 st will fit my rs.

I am going to need front forks, wheel, subframe?, rearsets.. ect...

I also like the look of the single sided swingarm on the st. Will that fit an rs that came with a normal swingarm.

Also i think the rs had more hp in one of the years was it 2000 2001 or 2002? which had the most hp...

Im sure ill be back this weekend with more questions.
Thanks.

Quite the barrage of questions!

Firt off, the more powerful engine is the 02-04 model. Only about 10Hp, so factor that into pricing.

Thr RS and ST share most mechanicals, but not the bodywork.
You have to match the years, the 00-01, or the 02-04. The engine and accessories are not swappable between years.

The single sided swingarm will bolt right on, but you will need all the linkage and the shock as well. you then might need to swap out the ehhaust, the DSSA and SSSA have different pipe plumbing.

do searches on the site for specific questions, I'm sure you'll find all of what you need to know

Kid,

As Chief said, the plastic and the engine changed for the '02-'04 years. Some parts may be the same but it's probably safer to assume they're not. Radiator and exhaust system are also different.

But a lot of other parts are likely to be either the same or swappable. The surest way to tell if they're the same is to get the part numbers from Truimph for the different models; same part number = same part.

I know of no reason why they shouldn't. The Sprint line is still carrying some of the Triumph modular thinking.
