Pushr0d,

I have the stainless steel oval pipe.

the can and connector pipe were about $310 delivered, and the story is that the can features ceramic packing that does not burn out.

You may, however disassemble the can with 2 bolts.

You can also get a "road legal" baffle for about $40

I have the Staintune stainless pipe on my '99 ST. Been on since '00. Absolutely love it. Aussie made so no probs with after sales service (for me anyway). Not that there has been any issues, period. When the noise restriction hoo haa got a beat up down here last year it was no prob to refit the plug to bring it back to a legal noise level with no noticeable drop in performance. They do mail order I believe, here's there web address anyhow...

If you do have a look at the web site you'll notice they do a high rise as well as standard height. The high rise looks fantastic in the flesh but excludes the use of panniers. Worth a thought perhaps!

Ditto for the Staintune. I`m delighted with mine. I have the Triumph `track` tune downloaded and with the baffle out it goes like a scalded cat! With the baffle in, it does knock a bit off the performance. I have noticed a slight increase in fuel consumption though. I have the staintune round `low` can, which can be used with the hard luggage. It`s a lot smaller and about 4kg lighter than the standard and being stainless steel you can polish out any scratches or abrasions.
