OK so I am looking to replace the pipe on my '00 RS. I am currently considering the .Two Brother Slip On. I have heard that staintune makes one.

Here's my question. What is the best exhaust for the RS. I am really wanting a good sound as well as a performance boost. Any advice?

Talking to my mechanic, he suggested the Triumph ss can or a two brothers. The tuning on either one they can get exact. Other cans are within 99% or lower.

Just my 2 coins!!!!!!!

I love my 2brothers. Nice throaty sound at idle and part throttle, and howling raspy wail when you are getting on it. ChefJPD has a D+D on his RS ant that sounded nice as well, especially when it was echoing off the skyscrapers in Manhattan :-D

skrap1r0n - check your messages. I've got a Staintune slip-on for the RS that I'd be happy to show you. It sounds very nice and the quality is top notch.

DaveM, did you have your ecm re-mapped with the ss can? I asked only because when I installed mine I have had no popping on decel. just wondering if it is necessary to do with the off road can?

Hi Dogma,

My tech advised downloading the factory map when I installed the short can. I ran her for about a 1000 km without, and had no burbling or popping.

When I did get the remap the music started!

I'm guessing that she runs leaner with the new can and that the remap adjusts this. With the remap, I have quicker throttle response and 5% improvement in fuel consumption.

It's a nice bit of kit, and as DaveM has said, has the magic logo on it.

I hummed and haahd but eventually decided to listen to DaveM and go with the Triumph ss can. Unfortunately, Triumph couldn`t get me one until the end of March! Being an impatient soul I decided to go back to my original plan of the Staintune round can, with the Triumph `off road can` tune downloaded. I`ll let you know how I get on.
