Thanks for the research, Dan. For people in the US, Fastenal sells a 35x45x2mm shim for $2.18 that should be the perfect thing to be able to get your wrench on the Honda part. I'll probably go with this setup next time I have to have the hub off. (Thankfully, that's probably a year or so away!)

I bought my bike with 3200 miles. After 12k I checked the rear bearings. First look at the nut and noticed it was never staked at all. Oops.
Cant imagine why someone would have had it off and a new one on within 3200 miles so im guessing it never was from the factory. ???
