That is a problem with a lot of stuff in this modern era. I still see technology as just another tool, not a magic bullet or magical cure.

ABS on a bike is not a selling point for me. Except maybe if I'm buying a bike and the seller thinks the lack of ABS lowers the value.

ABS is here to stay, like it or not.
I know people who claim they can stop quicker without it, (they can't) but that's not even the point.
Now I just wish they would pass laws on texting and phone use while operating a vehicle.
I'm tired of all the cross over accidents and having to watch out for these distracted people.

I don't recall anyone saying that about ABS for a long time. There seems to be a lot of other claims and a fair bit of "ultimate safety" if you drive a vehicle with it fitted.

Everyone of those people will tell you they can easily perform both, no problem. Often when sitting in the wreckage of their vehicles. Apparently, forcing people to not touch their phone whilst driving is an invasion of personal rights.

I couldn't disagree more. Forcing people not to drive while drunk is an invasion of there personal rights too but I don't see anyone arguing tha point.
Using phones and texting is one of the main causes for accidents in the US. It needs to be stopped
