Fuel screen?

From another thread on this forum, I obtained a source for the fuel filter for my bike. On that site it is saying that this is the post-pump filter and that there is also a pre-pump filter called a screen. I do not see that screen on the bike bandit schematic however. The main filter is used over a wide range of bikes so perhaps there are other makes that have this "screen" and not the Sprint?

The screen is just a Nylon(?) mesh screen that's attached to the pump; you can see it in the fiche on the bottom of the pump, though it's not listed as a separate part. It's not considered a maintenance item, and it's really too coarse to clog up.

In other words, don't worry about it.

Cheers,
-Kit
