Passing light switch to open the garage door?

I saw this mod mentioned in another post somewhere. Anyone know where I can get details? This sounds like an awesome deal. I always carry my clicker in my jacket, but would prefer a more permanent solution.

Great product - I have receiver in garage of course and three bikes (just 2 now) and one car with transmitters
Just flash the lights as come up driveway and open door and ride in

A slightly less expensive alternative is to velcro one of these to your triple...

Yeah, I thought about that. I don't have a good place on my Sprint to stick it. And, since the bike is my daily driver, if it gets wet while I'm at work, it might mess the thing up.

A tiny transmitter and Velcro works for me. What's the range on one of those F2P gizmos?

It's about 30' I would say - similar to the range of a remote.
It's especially useful if you have multiples - I paid $60 for a transmitter/receiver combo, then about $30 per additional transmitter. I also put one in one of my older cars - no more remote clipped to the visor.
The nice thing is that the transmitter it out of the way, tucked under tank, fairing or whatever.

I have a key fob-sized remote for my opener. When I really want to, I just toss it in my pocket and I can hit the button through my pants.

I am surprised no one has posted the video of that british automatic door opener. I think it worked off the horn, if I remember correctly....
