99 Sprint Pannier compatability

a pannier was stolen off my 04 ST recently and I'm looking for replacements. I can get a set of panniers from a 99 sprint. Had a look at world of triumph for part numbers but I'm not certain the panniers are compatible. Can anyone with some knowledge of this help out with some advise? Judging by the photos they look like they should fit.

cheers

Patrick

'99-'04 should all interchange. '98-'04, actually, now that I think about it. Trophies and some Tigers as well, I believe. My understanding is that all of the panniers that look like that should swap, with the exception of some right-hand Tiger boxes that were reshaped to clear the exhaust. I am not absolutely 100% sure about this; hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm off.

Cheers,
-Kit

Thanks Kit. I think you are right here about the Sprints. I searched the forums and it appears the Tiger one doesn't fit although they look so similar. I found panniers from an 05 Tiger that I was interested in but the posts I read convinced me I'd be in trouble going that way.

Did you have the pannier unlocked? I'm curious how they pulled one off otherwise.

I was stupid. I'd locked the mounting bar latch down but I hadn't properly engaged the latch onto the box. All they had to do was slide it back of the rail. Dumb eh?
