Gentlemen,
Thanks for your moderately helpful replies to my question several weeks back about how to install the Kisan headlight modulators. After pondering the problem for a couple weeks (raining here in the Northwest constantly anyhow) I dove in and ten minutes later, problem solved. No need to remove a single part from the bike.
How: Reach below the instrument panel and pull the three-pin connectors off the back of the two headlights, plug them into the two Kisan modulator units, then plug the lot into the back of the bulbs. The Kisan electric eye (that turns the modulation off at night) has a two-part harness that plugs into the bottom of each modulator. One plug goes into the "master" unit; the other into the "slave."
I thought about where to drill a 10mm hole for the electric eye and ended up taping it to the clutch cable for now. If I drill It'll probably be into the lower corner of the instrument panel (below the bar).
Result: works fine and if it irritates cagers or other bike riders all the better. They'll see me.
