Brake caliper seal direction

I havent been able to find an answer on this. When replacing brake caliper seals the manual says to fit them with the wider side outermost. Both the new seals, from Powerhouse in the UK, and the seals already fitted do not seem to have a wider side?
I've tried to determine if there is a wide side but with no luck.
How do you work this out?
Thanks

There is no such instruction in my G2 manual, and I have previously searched in vain for such traits on seals for other calipers. I think you'll be okay ignoring that if you've determined that the seals don't have a wider side.

Cheers,
-Kit

Thanks Kit. I could not measure any difference in the sides.
