I'm assuming thats what a rev limiter is for - to stop it being dangerous or harmful to the engine.
I'm not worried about the engine and if you can't see the potential harm shifting from first to second @ 9,000 RPM, there's nothing I can say that's going to change your mind.....BUMP!
