ST & RS bar height

Are the handlebars on ST & RS Sprints the same height/the same part?

Not only are RS bars lower, but they are further forward and have a different angle on them too.

I want to go a bit higher, so it sounds like ST bars on my RS could be the perfect soloution!

Earlier ST's have lower bars than later models also.

Could be however, I have heard they are difficult to find from breakers and ebay, I did try a while ago but they all came up damaged. I was too tight to lay out for "genmars" etc.
Good luck anyway Mick

I just put 01 ST bars on my 04 RS. Paid about $110.00 on EBay. It was a very straightforward switch. The ST bar sits higher and further back than the RS bar. I also added 1" Genmar risers. Note: This maxed out my control cables. I don't know if you could use the later ST bars with the risers. It was a good mod for me.
Cheers,

Thanks for the replies.
Am looking out for some ST bars, as im sure this'll be good for me.
I dont find the RS uncomfy, but after a couple of hours in the saddle, i do get a bit of shoulder & wrist ache so am hoping that the ST bars will sort that.

My other bikes all have a much more upright riding position than the RS, so i guess i just get used to sitting up a bit.
Im also getting older . . .

Snoops,
You might want to take a look at the thread RS to ST where I detailed the mods that I did to my RS. To me part of the solution of sitting more upright was to raise the height of the seat. It worked well for me, but I am 6' 2". Good luck!

Have you tried riding faster so the head wind takes the weight off your arms?? You know it makes sense
