GT - Staintune

I see the Staintune boys have released a pipe for the GT. Am thinking it might finally be time to replace the factory pipe...

I just checked out the prices for Staintune pipes. Pre-internet pricing model where local manufacturers charged what they wanted. Nowadays it's more like how do they stainbusiness!

I agree great cans and systems but now very pricey compared to other equally high quality options.
I am very happy with my Remus Titanium Hexacone on my GT and my Triumph CF high rise can on my Daytona 955.

Cheers
Dave 😊

Not sure how people can accuse staintune of being overpriced for the GT. The remus can retails for over a grand, the "riveted" look of the trident appeals to me in no way, shape or form (apart from the >$300 plus shipping to Aus), and the staintune retails for $700??? To me, especially compared to the remus, it strikes me as somewhat of a bargain.

Hi Anthony I bought my Remus for a lot cheaper than $1000 AUD

In fact I bought mine for less than $700.00 AUD

See here post no 63:

http://www.triumphrat.net/sprint-for...rint-gt-7.html

From what I have seen you can generally buy exhausts in Australia cheaper than Staintune and just as good quality.

Cheers
Dave

No offence Dave, but you can't really compare a discounted price with a retail price - hardly apples with apples. Similarly, I don't expect that I will pay anything like the full retail price on a staintune either, but it would hardly be fair to say "Oh, I will only pay X amount, so therefore the price is MUCH cheaper than some of the others".

Anyway, you have a remus and as you have said, you are very happy with it. Excellent.

For my two bobs tho, I'll pay someone to make the product here in Australia to world class standards.

What a pity I can't buy an Australian manufactured motorcycle...
