Another thought: A few years ago I ran a 18/45 sprocket combo (stock is 19/42) and absolutely loved it, except for the highway. Now I'm compromising with 19/45 which is roughly the same is the popular 18/42 combo. With a GT 6th gear set, you could run 18/45 and still be OK on the highway. Hmmm...

My friend has the same bike with an 18/42 which I rode. To be honest, I didn't feel that much of a difference in take-off and acceleration.

Sure from a dead stop and on a hill maybe but these engines have so much torque, with the stock gearing I can take off as fast as I want. If I do that I have to watch the front in first (no full throttle) and second lifts the front.

As I may have mentioned, I am a relative lightweight at 70 kg.

Misunderstood me. Those are the stock pistons. I just cleaned them up nicely so they look like bling.
