Yep, global warming, without the underseat pipes :razz:

That 's a fine coincidence Galesa. I came up through Cooma - bit of a nostalgic visit, it's where I was born. Another hydro scheme baby ;-}

Will be back in Towong for the Oz day 'long weekend'. The Adaminaby - Kiandra - Cabramurra stretch will be on the agenda again.

Once did a four-day ski tour out of Kiandra. Dropped to -14 C at Four Mile hut. Froze my leather boots. Bit of a contrast.

I'm doing that Snowy ride with my son in a week and a half's time. Through Thredbo, around to Khancoban and right to Mt Selwyn before coming back through Adaminaby. I'll wish for about 25C.
Staying at Jindabyne on the lake means I can get up and be cruising through the park gates before mr. ranger gets there and home for brekky most days.

Galesa,
Is there any snow visible on the upper ranges? And how were the water levels at Tooma reservoir and Tumut ponds reservoir. They were very low last year. Thanks.

We've not seen rangers at the gates on our summer rides.

BTW Do a return to Charlotte's Pass - a nice stretch of blackstuff. (And at the recent fund-raising ride there were 3 stationary radar vehicles btwn Thredders and Khancoban).

My god Ern - 3???? That's getting bloody ridiculous. There's a ***** site more crime around than putting 3 coppers on one 120km stretch of torist road between nowhere. What a waste of resources....
Oh well, maybe Elliotts way and Cabramurra will have to be the go down that way for a while :-)

Yeah, copper feeding frenzy

That stretch is 60 or 80kph, so with double demerit points on a public holiday it would make for an expensive ride.

I mount my rego label on the number plate. Darn it if it doesn't slip down from time to time. Double jeopardy if you're pulled over though.

But if you're in Jindy you could do a recce first and then backtrack. In fact you could do the whole circuit twice in a day :-D

It's interesting the different environments we ride in, but there is no doubt global warming is happening here in the Highlands (Scotland) as we've hardly had any snow this winter. We even had a 12 degree night in December! The hottest I ever rode in was 40 degree C across Europe on a Triumph Legend (killed the battery). So some folks in Germany wore motocross mesh armour jackets - didn't fancy their abrasion properties!
