Sometime over the winter I will remove the tank to fit heated grips and a Scottoiler to my RS. While the tank is off I intend to check/adjust the valve clearances, does anyone know if the Suzuki tool for holding down the cam buckets will work on a Triumph? (The Suzuki tool I have is for the old 2 valve GS range with shims on top of the buckets like the Triumph, it's like a small C spanner that you hook under the cam and press down to lever the bucket down)

Any hints or tips on checking/adjusting clearances?

Somewhere on the site is a diagram on how to make a tool for this. Sorry, off hand I can't remember where it is.

I've seen the diagrams for the tool on the site, but my engineering skills are somewhat lacking, and I don't know anyone who could knock one up for me.

If the Suzuki tool works I will let you know
