My new-to-me Sprint doesn't seem to have had the fuel fitting recall done. I see that TeamTriumph sells a four piece metal quick disconnect replacement set for $85. How is this better (if it indeed is) than the metal replacement the dealer would use on a recall?

Also, I called Great Bay, and the guy I talked to (didn't seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, btw) told me that there was a wiring harness recall on my bike. Hmmmm ... it doesn't show up on the NTSB website, nor have I heard of it here. Anyone got a clue on this?

Thanks!

The recall fitting parts are aluminum and there is no check valve in them. They also only replace one side of the fittings, but they are free. They should have all the information in their data base as to what has or has not been done to your bike based on it's VIN #. I have an '02 RS and there was no recall on the wiring that I'm aware of. Some of the earlier models had some problems with grounding and I think there was an alternator cable that was a problem. You do not have the same alternator setup on an '02 model. Either way Triumph should have all the info based on your VIN #.
