My 00' RS has RED front brake calipers, factory paint. EVERY picture of other Sprint RS's have black calipers. Does anyone know if these are from another Triumph? Or, was this color something Triumph did when they ran out of black paint???

Do your calipers have the Triumph logo cast into them? Are you the original owner?

Yeah, they do have the Triumph Logo on them and unfortunately, I am not the original owner. Wish I could find that person in the Corpus area.

Your pad, and correct me if i'm wrong, should have a letter stamped into also indicating the type of pad it is and the material it is made of. Examples are an HH, GG and some others.......

Never heard of red calipers on any Triumph, and especially not the Sprint line. Sounds like a re-paint to me.

I also think they've been painted. They are 4 piston units, right?

They are the 4 piston calipers. Even the paint appears to be factory finish. You can usually tell if sometyhing has beenpainted over and these definately have not. They really look like a factory finish. I'll have to get a pic or two posted here so you can see what they look like.

Okay,
I uploaded some pictures a few minutes ago, not sure exactly where they are at the moment, but probably in the upload area. I'll take some close ups in a couple weeks. I'm not in Tucson right now, and will post those pics then.
