Just purchased 2001 Sprint ST. It is missing the lens covers on the front turn signals. Anyone here know if, or where these can be found, or do I have to replace the whole turn signal assembly?
Thanks for your replies.
Kevin

Kevin,
I had to replace the entire assembly on mine. However, it was under warranty.

Same with me. It is only glued to the front of the assembly and only comes as a unit. mine is a 2003 and also under warranty. Cost about $50 for the assembly.

Hi EZOUT,

This was a common minor build problem a while back.

Bad batch of glue Sir Don tells me. I had to re-stick mine on when I first got it cos they were both loose. Don put me straight on this problem when I first came on this site too.
Helpful man Mr Olson.

I just used a contact adhesive and have never had a problem since.

I am sure you can get replacements from your local dealer.

good luck.

I have a masters degree on this topic as I have had to replace 3 of them. The first came (RH) before the first service. They replaced it underwarranty. The second (LH)went out about 4000 miles, this time I replaced it, though they gave it to me free under warranty. The third, time it was the LH side again at about 20K.

I tend to think they have threee problems. One, the contact adhesive. Two, the plastic frame material is brittle. Three, the fastener will break the plastic if you overtighten it. So be carful when installing it. You might also put a little grease on the machined screw as mine had a little corrosion on it. On all three of mine, the black frame cracked around the fastner, this crack dislodge the lense (over time) from the frame at the glue line. It was really apparent on the last one. Just a crappy light IMHO.
