Welcome, all. I purchased an '06 Sprint a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't be happier. I was curious if anyone has the sports "throw over" panniers. I'm sure there are drawbacks, but they're a lot cheaper than the hard cases and don't seem to be as universally maligned. Thanks.

I bought some 'Oxford' throwovers five years ago. As I only use them a handful of times a year, they should last forever. Not bike specific, no fitting kit to change, or leave on the bike year round.

So long as care is taken to cover side panels with wonderweb or duck tape to avoid scratches, no problems. Wouldn't bother with hard luggage again.

I just added the Chase Harper "Stealth" bags. I used the Triumph luggage rails to attach them to so the bags don't touch the paint. I will get a pic up soon.

Here are the Stealth bags

Connected to rails, no contact to painted areas

I just bought some Joe Rocket Velocity soft sport bags, they are awesome. They have the rain gear attached and in a mesh bag on the back. There is a elastic mesh that pulls out of the center zipper compartment and is designed to strap over to the other bag if you have extra stuff to put on the seat. My wife has a set of Oxford Sports and I think the Joe Rockets are better. I paid 179.99 CND so they were pretty cheap too. Sometimes you can find them on Ebay though. Check them out.
