Has anyone lowered the New Sprint St? Mine sits higher than the one in the show room. It looks like a two inch difference. I'll have to check it to make sure.

I just dropped it off for the 600 mile breakin checkup and gave them a list of stuff to double check.

1.) play in the throttle.
2.) lower ride height.
3.) hard to start when cold.

other than that it's golden. No brake issues or anything else.

havent heard of the ride height issue.Dealer should be able to advise.

Mine had a lot of slack in the throttle that got adjusted at 1st service, high beam no better than low beam - now adjusted, and a loose fairing bolt - by my right foot toe.I found this and tightened it myself after reading about it here.

No problems with starting hot or cold. They say that you may need to give a bit of throttle when cold - have you tried that?

Overall an excellent ride. Its addictive and really hard to clean up and put away after a ride.Needs to be ridden more.

Do not, repeat, do not play with the throttle when starting. That will screw up the throttle position sensor into thinking that whatever throttle position you had when the engine lit off is idle. When you go to anything less, the engine won't idle.
If it's a cold start issue have the dealer check into it.

When starting, I never even have my hand on the bar. I just prod the button with my fore finger and the clutch in. Bang, starts every time.

Just my $.02

its OK Don.

In the 05 handbook it says 'in very cold conditions, part open the throttle to aid cold starting'
Might be worth a try?
