Has anyone else noticed that the turn signal switch shorts out in the rain? Each time I've ridden in the rain I lose my blinkers, and I have to give the switch a shot of WD-40 to get them back. I'm planning on opening up the control cluster and slathering it with dielectric grease.

Are you sure its just the switch and not the exposed plug conectors at the front of the bike below the headlamp area?
My alarm played games on me when i washed the bike a while back and i could never trace the fault. Dealer sprayed water repellant over most of the connector blocks and ive not a had a problem since...

may be worth a look.

That could be too. I'll grease up the entire thing, just to be sure.

Since the bike is new I would take it to the dealer, if he's not too far. In any case give him a heads-up and tell him what you will do. Just to assure that you don't mess-up up your warranty.

Myrddraal,
what type of shorts was the switch wearing to start with?

Sounds like maybe they were the ones with the prince of darkness prints on them.(Mr Lucas from way back)

The correct shorts your switch block should have on have a Triumph emblem stamped on them.

Rule No one with electrics ... check you are wearing your shorts! :hammer:

Hope this is helpful.
:-D
