Just got back from a fantastic ride in the Colorado foothills in unseasonably warm 75-degree weather! That's all I had.... Back to you!

Sweet. Despite needing to ski on some good riding days I've managed to put 750 miles in the three weeks since I got my new bike. Gotta love unseasonably good weather.

I find myself hating global warming less than I probably should.

Did about 40 miles today. Planned on doing about 200 with a guy from work, but we both got off to a late start....

hmmmffff....maybe next time.

I've been using my Sprint for commuting to and from work since the beggining of March. I also did a business trip on it last week. I just want to keep riding, but I have to earn kitchen passes for the weekends. There's a few nice little roads real close to home that I hit every day on my returne comute.

In a nut shell, I just love riding. I did 1,800 miles for March! I hope to get few extra miles this weekend. I'm going to do my first visit with the DC rats.

Yup,

It WAS way warm this past weekend. I got out for a 150 mile ride Sunday here in So. Cal. and it was over 90 deg!! Started out with my mesh Triumph jacket over the BMW Comfortech vest which came off as soon as I got gas.

Looking at the fairing, I think I clobbered at leat 2 million bugs. Think I'll have to use a putty knife to get 'em all off!!

Even the long sleeve tee under the jacket was too much. As much as I enjoyed the unusually warm weather, I hope this is'nt a harbinger of the summer to come. Seems we've had really hot summers these last few years. 110+deg days for 2 1/2-3 months starts to get old. At least I'm not working on the damned race cars anymore, because Willow Springs, Button Willow and Holtville are all in the desert and I've spent days in excess of 128 deg.there. Yuck!!! I'm warm blooded, but that's just a bit too much!!

Hey, ikonoclass, glad to see you can finally come out to play, bout time. Been kinda wondering what you think of your new fairing now that you have a few miles sitting behind it. Please say that it is the definitive answer to the noise and buffeting???????? Please!!!!!

Any word yet on the Bar exams???

I took the Cee Bailey's off in favor of the Laminar Lip Sport Touring product, made expressly for the Sprint ST. Of everything I've tried, I think this is the best. BUT! I have a strong suspicion that the ultimate result could be achieved by getting a regular, "universal" Laminar Lip, the kind sold for cruisers, and attaching it the Cee Bailey's screen. I may eventually do this. The Laminar Lip is a great product, in my opinion, and I'm amazed that the Touring product I got works as well as it does, since it's a good couple inches shorter than the CB windscreen. Still got a month to wait on the bar exam results. I think they do this on purpose to make sure you're flat broke by the time you get your results, and are then forced to take the first low-paying job that comes along. At some point, I should probably stop spending every extra penny on my bike!

Hi Ikon,
Now what fun would that be. Besdies you can always say it was therapy for you while you were waiting for your results.

One of my I have to do items is to go out to The Western Slope and do some riding there.
We have an outfit in Grand Junction, CO do our heavy maintenance on the airplane and do to some hiccups I had to spend about the entire month of January there.
What great roads and day trips. From going over Grand Mesa to the Monuments, Black Canyon, down to Moab and more available.

It was so cold I couldn't even rent a Harley and had to drive a cage.
