Wow, jealous. Photo number 2 is incredible. I love how the wheel stripes jump out! All are great shots, I wish I lived within 4 hours from there, unfortunately it is more like 10-12.
Not much in the LI/NYC area but I can be in the catskills in an hour and can go north to the addirondaks or south so to the apalchians in about 4 hrs or so.
triumphite...I think we have chatted a bit on the DC RAT Forum. I'd love to get out and ride with you on something like this in the future. I'm somewhat new to the DC/ MD area and don't really know my way around that well. I'm on an 08 Sprint. Looks like you had a great ride. Thanks for the pics.

It really sucks when you only live 30 mins from those roads. Couple pics from last year. If you ever head down this way again, shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can play hooky also.

Took a personal day today and spent most of it in the Hudson River valley in New York state. These two shots were taken near Lime Rock, CT. A beautiful August day on the ST!!

As my daughter would say "your mean". Showing us pics like that. Here in the monsoon, I mean sunshine state we DO have curves. Just not many and lots of straights in between.
Time for a road trip to Wilksboro or Cherokee or some other fun place.
Living here on the Texas Gulf Coast we travel a lot to get to good places to ride. We've been all over and for sheer volume of great roads the TN/NC/VA area is hard to beat.
2nd picture - at the bottom of that mountain on the WV side there is a campground. A few times per summer, bunch of friends and I head out there for the weekend - stay at the campground, run the mountain a few times in the mornings then run around other roads most of the day, then run the mountain a few more times before calling it a night. That mountain is worth heading out there for just by itself.
Sometime, head up 42 towards Mt. Storm - just don't let the sight of all the windmills distract you from the road:

Just a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway here. All the roads around here are twisty wonders. Glad you had fun!
