Just rode it, after putting about 1 psi in both tires, lower temps had dropped pressure. Today was very windy, mid 40's F and I learned that the Pirelli Angels really cut down crosswind sensitivity compared with the OEM 'stones. Angels after 6000+ miles are much better than OEMs were with 3000, probably better than OEMs with 0 miles.

Gave it a wash, cleaned the wheels, lubed the chain, and raised it to see what might be causing a weird feeling it gives me sometimes (has it's own thread "wandering") glad to read about the Pirelli Angels Spacedave! I think these Contimotions are freaking me out in a stiff breeze!

This is more like "What I want to do to my 2011 Sprint GT tomorrow... I have a burned out parking light bulb. I want to change both bulbs out for LED's. Has anyone else done this that can tell me where to order the bulbs and what they are called? Thanks, Terry

Nothing pleasant at all today. Rode the Sprint into work at 4:30am - got into the city and while riding underneath the city council building at about 30kph after coming off a speed bump - I see a solid piece of something flat but high on the road surface about,.. well under my front wheel by the time I saw it. Bike went up and over OK with a big bump that whacked into my spine...looked back and saw it was a steel road inspection cover - about 40mm high...damn it!
Got to work 50 yards up the road..bike looked and felt OK. Came out at 7:30 and checked the wheel and it looked OK. Rode it around the carpark and felt good so rode it away - went past the spot where it happened and the debris was gone. Went home on the highway. Checked it in the garage and found a 100mm length of flattened rim..not BAD..but, bad. So off with the wheel and into the shop. They have to send it away - ETA 7-10 days and half a weeks pay.
Rang up the council - and emailed them a report. They will consider compensation if anything can be proven. I'm not too hopeful.
Quite miserable now..as the was keenly looking forward to an annual fund-raising coast-to-coast ride on this Saturday....excellent fun. West coast beach to east coach beach in the North Island - that's about 200 miles or so. Party at the end. 600 or so riders. I'm miffed.

Bummer Mark.
Similar thing happenned to Trumpzy up around Ballina way over here except it was a huge pothole. He tried to hit the council up but they didn't want to know about it.
Hope it all works out ok.

First ride with my new lsl risers and superbike bars.
I mounted a LSL riser kit, purchased from one of our forum members, and rode 30 miles to and from work. What a difference! Phenomenal! I absolutely love what it did for my comfort and control. I much prefer the leverage offered by a nice superbike handlebar as opposed to the stock almost clip-on bars. It transformed the bike in a significant way, much more confident handling. It turns out I might not use the braided stainless brake line I ordered from Speigler, since the stock line is long enough run behind the forks (as opposed to in front). The stock clutch cable was long enough too, just re-routed it a bit and it feels fine. I highly recommend this modification, it inspires much more confidence over the bumps, ruts, and loose gravel that inhabit south Texas!

Bad news, Mark. Worth pursuing the council though; you never know, and sometimes they will do the right thing.
