I finally found out how far my Sprint goes, with the fuel warning light on... DOH!

I managed 84km`s on twisting roads at 130-140kph, one-up.
The light seems to come on a lot earlier than my 01 did, I don`t know if any of you lot have had a similair experience?

When the light goes on I have 3 liters left in my 03 ST.
I count at 6 liter/100 Km, so I aim for another 50Km.

Normally I'm at 5.7 to 5.8 L/100Km, so I have another little buffer.

Never bothered to check until totally empty, guess I should do this once.

My '04 St is almost exactly the same as Tex, except I work in miles LOL.

3l left = 30miles. Which leaves about 1/4 to 1/2l spare!!

Well the 02-04 gas tank is .5 US gallon smaller.

I have a 99 Sprint ST and when the light comes on, I have between 0.7 -0.8 gallons left. I have tested this by going right to the gas station as soon as the light came on. Then just subtracted the amount of gallons pumped from the tank size. Believe it or not the manual says the light is supposed to come on at 7 or 8 tenths of a gallon. Don't remember exactly which one it was.

That's been my experience too, on both the 99 and 02. About .7 gallon left at the light.

I guess the thing that can mess this up, is the amount you can get into the tank after you reach the bottom of the filler for the first time, and the time it takes to do it.

I get another 3/4-1litre in, but it takes sooooo long :-D

My light comes on consistently at 4.0-4.1 gals used (or at least what it takes to fill to the rim).
