speed triple 1050 shock on sprint 1050?

Anyone know if the spacings is the same or similiar? Id like to have more adjustability than just preload.

Nope the swingarm is the same but the dogbone and linkage underneath is different. It's not a direct swap.

I see. What about also swapping the linkage and all that? Also Ive seen a few of the 08+ sprints with preload and rebound adjustment, surely one of those would bolt right on?

How about listing what model year Sprint 1050 you're talking about??

Here is the '08 Sprint ST rear shock rebound adjustment, right out of the Owners Manual.

I have an 07 ABS. I called triumph because I looked through the manual and seen where it said the rebound adjustment was and it wasn't there on my shock. So I called triumph and try said some sprints only had preload and that some of the owners manuals were used for multiple bikes (ie speed triple).

DesmoBanana,

Did you look at the right side of the lower clevis instead of the left? Someone may have rotated the lower clevis so the rebound adjuster would be on the opposite side.

I have an 07 ABS. It most definitely has rebound adjustment. (Well, it doesn't really because the shock is worn, but the adjuster is there)

It has been documented many years in this forum that the owner manual had a typo re the shock adjustment locations.

Quite the story that owner manuals were used for different bikes interchangeably. I think at that point I would have to really wonder just who it was I talking with?
