I have a spanking new ST (05) with a stock screen and wondered whether the optional aero screen is better not only for buffetting but also about wehter it detracts from the looks of the bike too much.

Views? :-D

No, it doesn't detract from the looks, it's not so radical. The wind deflection isn't major, but it helps me, I'm 6'2". Watch out for paint bubbling on whichever screen you have, it's been a warranty issue.

I have the optional aero screen, the smoked version, and I think it looks good. I am 6.1 and the screen does help, not amazingly, but you do notice a difference. And this replacement has not bubbled...yet! :-D

Few weeks ago I took the Aero off and was convinced not to mount it once again. After a ride on the German highways with plus 200 km/h for a while I have changed my mind!

I have an aero screen; just take out the "dip" in the original windcreen and you have the aero screen.
It helps some as I an 6'1" and it raises the wind to the bottom of my helnet unless I'm tucked in low. then the wind hits mu helmet at the top which tries to pull the helmet off my head.

I'm looking for a touring windscreen that will put the air flow a little higher. Maybe the Cee???.
