.... is now well on the way to being made.

I decided that whilst the top box is a good size the lid needed to be higher to allow a Pair of Helmets to be fitted.

The thing below is the mold nearly ready for fibreglassing over the top off.

This will add approximately 6 inches (150mm) of vertical height.

Most of the things we normally put in the top box tend to be bulky rather than heavy, plus the added advantage of being able to lock the helmets up with some other things in the box.

I'll show off the real thing when it's completed.

Hi, I have the standard topbox lid, and I can get 2 helmets in there, along with a few bits and bobs around, inside and on top of the helmets. It did take me a while to work out how they were supposed to go though.

I have a pair of KBC's that whilst they will fit.... just don't have anything in the bottom of the box not even a towel.

Couldn't resist having a go at making a new lid.
