Hi From NZ

Had a fault a couple of months ago were the engine would splutter pulling out of slow corners @ 1800 - 2500rpm
had it repaired by Dealer ( left hand Plug rusty)
Now a couple of months later the problem is back
even after being carefull with the cleaning hose.
Advise required on the easiest way to get to the
left hand plug ( Remove Tank ? and what else?)
Dealer is 300 km away and I don't have a manual

Could any one help

Thanks
Bernie

Hi Bernie,

To get to the plugs you'll have to remove the tank and the air box. A snap really. Be a little careful removing and replacing the fuel line quick disconnects.

Just remove the plug wires and the plugs. there is a long reach tool for this in your kit.

Before removing the plugs, I'd check to make sure there isn't any junk in the plug tube. Use some compressed air if you have. Don't want anything falling into the chamber.

I'm guessing that your problem is a plugged tube. There are drain holes at the bottom of the tubes and these can become stopped up and not allowing water to drain out. This is why your plug was rusty.

So, I'm betting that you clean out the drain holes in the tubes, change the plugs and you're good to go.

Don
