My left footrest rubber has worn through in only 2,000miles. On the outer edge of the l/h one, must be with changing gear but surely should last longer than 2 months!
Anyone else had the same problem?

Same thing at about 5K though has not worsened. Really just rubber cracks but if it gets worse, will ask dealer for replacements. Another thread mentioned OBERON as having an aftermarket solution.

Funny enough, I was lubing the chain yesterday, and saw the same thing, 2 and a half month, and 8900km.

The shifter side on my 03 had some ware at 10k and was smooth at 25k. I asked about warrenty and they said "It's a ware item.. $8... pay up sucka!" So I did. After ripping the pad off, I noticed that the peg could probably be used just fine with out it.
