Been riding a Road King these past five years. I like it. I bought a Sprint ST (2002) today and rode it about 50 miles. Only one thing I can say ... Woohoo! Toto, I don't think we're in Milwaukee anymore!

I'm no kid (read, I'm no idiot) and know I need to get acquainted and then familiar with this very different beast. But, just like meeting a beautiful woman, the first blush is either there or it ain't. I'm gonna like this bike!

If anyone cares ... it's Aston Green, SS Triumph can, Triumph hugger, tail rack, heel guard, CF tank protector, Triumph tank bag. It has a whopping 5187 miles now and there isn't a nick or ding on it. I need to check if recalls have been done. I love when other people buy bikes and keep 'em in such nice shape so I can buy them used ... grin!

I too have come over from the Harley camp, rode a '69 Sportster for 15 years. Spent every winter pulling the motor down for new rings and valves!! But I stopped in the Suzuki nest before getting my Sprint. I really like the linear pull of the three cylinder. It's predictable and there isn't that giant slam of coming on the cams that inline fours throw at you. Also, the build quality is way beyond what I remember British cars having! Great bike, lots of compliments...

Saddletramp - congratulations, you won't be disappointed. Is yours a late model '02?
My '02 is British Racing Green, and I thought Aston Green was an '03 color. Doesn't mean much (except BRG might be just a little faster), but would make a difference if you ever need touch up paint.

No, I don't think so. Aston Green is named after the Aston Martin, so it has to be faster. And more expensive

Well maybe I'm mistaken. I less than 24 hours into this Triumph world, y'know ... grin! It's green, I'll tell ya that. Oh ... and fast!

I commend you on your choice. Although I think the '04 & later Road King Customs are probably the best "looking" bikes H-D has produced, they're nowhere near the fun of a Sprint.

Happy motoring, TM

Well, spent a bit of time in the garage this morning with my new baby, and once certain everything was OK (heck, it looks like it was just delivered by the dealer!) I went for a ride.

200 miles of rural northwestern CT, MA, and eastern NY roads, and I got home with a big grin on my face. I'm gonna REALLY like this bike! I have to get used to the riding position, but that's just a matter of experience and conditioning. No sore wrist (figured that bit out yesterday), and my middle aged knees and hips only complained a little (but I told 'em to shut the hell up, and gave the throttle another twist)
