Hi,
I am a Tiger rider, so I don't get here often.

I was in the local Triumph showroom last Saturday and noticed a new style genuine topbox that is actually for the 2005 Sprint ST.
Does anyone know who makes it?
Is it any good?
Will it fit a 955 Tiger stabdard rack??
It appears to have a bolt on locating plate like a Givi.
Will this bolt onto a Tiger??

True to form, it was a Saturday the Triumph sales guys refused to get it off the wall for me to try. It was high, on a hook and stuck on with sticky tape to keep it aligned. I would have shelled out $600 on the spot if it had fitted, but that would have required them getting off their arses and 5 minutes work. They wanted me to come back, order another from the warehouse and then come back a few days after to try it. Very convenient - NOT.

their arses
oh, you in Australia have those guys over there too? I thought it was strictly and American problem.

Have you thought about doing business via Internet? I'm sure you can find some companies that will answer your question over the phone or on email and then ship to you a product that works for even less than the lazy bums would charge. Then you could go by the shop for something and show them what you bought from someone that actually cares about your business. I've done that and found it to be VERY Satisfying!

A good suggestion, but I want to see, touch and test the fit. A bit hard to do on the internet.

Don't touch the new Sprint ST Luggage with a Barge Pole!!

It is very poor quality compared to the old Triumph Luggage System. Most of us poor sods that have paid for it are sitting here waiting for it to be replaced with a new design.

I bought a Tiger top box off eBay for my '04 Sprint and with the addition of some rubber ears it fits my rack, so certainly the -'04 Sprint top box will fit your bike, but from what I have seen of the '05 box rack, it is completely different. If I were you, I'd keep an eye out for one on ebay.

BTW if you see a Caspian blue one, I would gladly swap it for the dark blue one with "Tiger" on it that I have  . Mine cost £150 + post. Still £130 short of the new one!
