So does IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) - the rubbing kind you get from a drug store (70%). It's also good for prepping a site for stickers/decals.

A hair dryer will take off most decals, softening the glue. Now I am pretty certain my 1050's decals on the tank are clear coated on, but I haven't looked at the side ones. I took all the decals off of my vstar, but I've no such inclination on my ST, yet.

Other Motorcycle: I wish
I've still got half a dilapidated decal on my tank. I have used all of the above and more to no real effect. I am now in the "I'll wear it off mode"
