Does anyone know if the front indicators on the '05 ST can be wired so that they are always on?? If so, would they need different bulbs??

I figure this would be good for riding at night etc - does anybody have an alternative opinion??

A number of bikes in the US already have their turnsignals on as running lights. However, I would imagine that it would take some additional wiring and fiddling with the harness.

If you are thinking about safety, I would imagine something like motolights might be a better option. Not only do they make you more visible, the put more light on the road too.

Just my opinion.

Not sure on this but it would also take a 2 filament bulb or led and I'm pretty sure that would require a different socket?

You probably would not want the stock bulb on all the time since it's made for intermitant use (hi watt on-off). As Don said, a two filament bulb and socket would be required with the low watt filament being used as the running light. You could tie it into the center light. Check current ratings.

I was interested both as a safety thing as well as a look thing. I think they would add noticeability and look more distinctive - especially as they are up high.

The few times I have seen a Honda Super Blackbird at night it has struck me how the indicators/running lights stood out.

Here's a guy who did it to his Guzzi, looks like a solid idea. There are some sharp folks in the Guzzi world, we modify our bikes more as a hobby than necessity.

Greg's a good guy, as is Dan Prunuske if you should decide to order relays from him.

Dig in!!!

Kisan Technologies makes a unit that replaces the flasher relay that will turn all stock turn signals into running lights and will also connect them to the stop lights if you want. It will cancel your turn signals at a programmed interval. Minor wiring connections required for the some features. $100 USD.
