Can anyone please look at their '99 to '04 Sprint ST
and tell me if the throttle cable passes outside of the
right fork tube or inside, between the fork tube and the
steering yoke?

Though they changed to a push-pull cable in '02, I don't think the routing should be different from my '02. It routes between the left fork(as you sit on the bike) and the center stem, between the top and bottom triple trees. Then back kind of along the frame, there might be a wire loop at the top of the radiator mount to run it through, then around under the fuel rail.

Thanks for the answers. I guess it is routed properly after all, just didn't look that way. Seems to bind when turned full lock either direction.
Again, thanks.

On my 99 the throttle cable is in back of the right fork leg. This is the single cable system.

I bought it used from a dealer, but the previous owner (or dealer) must have done some work. They mis-routed the cable in front of the right fork leg, which broke the plastic adjuster on the cable next to the right grip. While trying to figure out how to make the adjuster better I tried re-routing behind the right fork leg. This made a huge difference.
