So... has anyone tried to modify the 05 mirrors to fit on an older version of the ST yet? I like the fact that the turn signals are mounted in the mirrors now and i want that for my 02 (when I get it back that is). I know the mounting and design for the two are different but i don't think it would be too hard to do. Making a wiring harness would be easy enough. And to get the mirrors to mount to the bike, you would just need to build some sort of bracket that would fit inbetween the bike and the mirror I would think. I had mentioned this idea to a friend of mine who is very good at building bikes and modifying them and he liked the idea and thinks he can build something for me that would work. Anyone have any opinions on this idea?

Again this'll have to wait till I get my bike back and I can afford to buy the 05 mirrors (assuming they even sell it to the public) and then wait until he has the time to build something for me, which would mean leaving my bike with him for awhile till he makes something he likes. But I think in the end it'll look pretty slick on the bike.

at around £90 each im sure you will find a cheaper alternative to the 05 mirrors. Busters accesories and M+P in the uk do integrated mirrors for about £25 each if thats the look your after.....

Yea, I'm looking for the integrated look, but the st mirrors are pretty slick looking that why i chose them. but I'll definitely check out those other companies as well and see what their mirrors look like.

I just bought a Caspian Blue '05. It came with black mirrors. The dealer had a set of blue matching mirrors for an outrageous price. ($300)

Being a bit gullible I should have an extra set of black mirrors when they deliver my bike later on this week. :-D

You may want to check that the '02 mounts are on a beefy enough pqr of the cockpit to take the '05 mirrors. They are pretty heavy.
