anyone have a problem with the clutch lever reach? its too far for my dainty pinkies to pull, and after an hour in town my hand hurts. do you know any good ways round it?

sensible ways that is, i thought about a finger transplant with a gibbon but they have these awful black fingernails, you know?

maybe another bikes lever fits on, that has an adjuster like the throttle side? in the UK none of the aftermarket stockists do an adjustable for the ST. :???:

Putting more than the 'recommended' free play in the lever helps and it's free! There is a lot more travel than needed for proper clutch actuation. I have almost an inch (1.0") of free play at the end of my lever before it works the clutch....been that way since new, except when the dealer adjusts it back out. Try that first, easy.

I strongly second Stlakid's comment. After I first got my bike home from the dealer, I could hardly move my fingers. I called the dealer and he said slacken the cable. I've ridden that way for 9k miles with no problems.

Me three. Also, I put a dog leg lever on which I like and shot the h---- out of the cable with cable lube helped too.

at the moment on ebay uk someone is selling a pair of adjustable levers, both the clutch and brake have the wheel type span adjuster as on the original brake lever. they are £20, i might give them a go.
