I dont do a lot of long distance stuff, but we're off to Assen for the WSB in a couple ofweeks time and I'm after some throw-over type soft panniers. Trouble is the blinkin' seat fastening is such a hassle does anyone know of some throwovers with a removable under seat strap, so you can just unclip the bags when you leave the bike and leave the strap under the seat.

Looking forward to the trip though!

I just finished a trip using Oxford soft luggage. The under seat strap is not removable so removable liners (plastic bags) were used. These also acted as rain protectors. The one thing I did was to rap the under seat strap with lots of aluminum foil to protect it from the exhaust heat.

Triumphs own Sport Panniers work a treat.

They look good, but do they hold much? It looks like the straps stay on and the bags unlatch. If this is so not a bad idea as the seat is such a pain to reinstall. The only other option, that I actually am weighing out, is the $375.00 Corbin. Ouch!

Thanks for the feedback, I've gone with the Oxford stuff which seems really good. We're off on Saturday so I'll let you know how I get on.

I'm trying to upload a picture cos I reckon they look pretty good, but I can't work out how to at the moment!
