Welcome from across the pond. It`s a great forum and you`ll definately benefit from the wealth of knowledge and helpful people on here. I had a green 01 sprint and when I had a few minor problems, I was able to accurately diagnose and fix them just by searching previous postings.

Yeah I spent an hour today browsing the forsale forums, hehe.

Bike is in great shape. This winter I would like to sand the scratches out of the rear panniers and repaint them (they look pretty scratched up). Is it difficult to locate the exact paint color schemes for this bike? British Racing Green is what I would need to purchase. I found some touch up on Ebay but it's 18 dollars for a 20ml container, I would need more than that.

Welcome Big Country!
Cool icon & excellent color choice IMHO.

You should be able to find an auto paint supply that carries
Standox paint. Their code for British Racing Green is 247900. Standox Search Page

Also, here's a link to previous thread that has Dupont codes. BRG is BEC1343, which shows up as the cross link on Standox site.
Paint code thread

Enjoy the new ride!

You've picked an excellent vintage year for the Sprint. I have an '01 in the proper red color. In about 20 months of ownership I know have over 25k miles on it and it been very reliable. My only complaint was the fuel connectors. Ensure they've been recalled or replaced.
