read the the Hoops...skins, etc thread, and decided to get the Z6's. Got about 300 miles on em, and quite pleased so far. My last set was Dunlop D220's which I got a great price on, but I wasn't really all that impressed with. The rear was just about to the wear bars at 5k. Not that I'm all that concerned with mileage.

Haven't had a rain ride on the Metz's yet, but I'm diggin' em on the dry roads I've been on.

This site has been a wealth of good info, and just wanted to say I'm grateful for all the knowledge shared here. This is my first sporty kinda bike, and I'm kickin up the wick on her now, and she puts a goofy grin on my face, RIGHT AWAY!!!

And taking the rear wheel off with that single sided swing arm...is the "dog's bullocks"!!! :-D

Cheers mates!

I just put on Z6s last night on my ST. WOW is all I can say on improved performance. I have 78 miles on since changing em up.....tomorrow I am doing twisties once all the gunk is worn off. I agree the single-sided swing arm is very nice, even nicer with my friends Steve's 46 mm socket and my friend Tom's torque wrench. AWESOME!!!!!

I have about 4000 on mine now, and they look like the day I got them. Minus the chicken strips and knobs, of course :-D

I'll probably like them full term and unless something better comes along will probably stick with them.

But they would have to fit the same criteria as these. Long life, Corner speedx2+5 in the wet without stepping out or sliding, and dragging toes at will in the dry. The other thing is, I am pretty hard on the front and these communicate to me very well, either in the corners or braking and haven't one little sign of cupping.

dolson...your comments were much of what led me to the Z6's. Glad to see ya still so inclined.

I'd like to know what pressures your running in them. It'd be groovy if mine still looked good with 4K on em. Between this Sprint, my Valk, and one lil' red tire torturing 5.0 Mustang that I own...tire companies have me by the 'bullocks'. But...when ya wanna play, ya gottsta pay!

BTW...I run with no luggage on the Sprint, and weigh in at 200lbs. Right now I'm at 38 in the rear tire, and 36psi in the front. Seems pretty good that way, but I like experimenting.

Whooooaaa....If I get 13K out of rear tire, I'm gettin' it bronzed and sending it to the Smithsonian!!!

On a serious note though, that's VERY encouraging.... :-D

13K, I'll pay for the fireworks at the Smithsonian :-D

My Z6 on the rear has about 3500 and has maybe 1K more and the front Z4 is toast at abount 9K. Going to try Pirelli Strada's this time. Same tire but squeels Oh solo mia in the turns.
